What's your design style?

So What is Biographical Design?By Ruben Gutierrez

Can you think of that favorite outfit that you put on whenever you want to look and feel your best? You stand a little taller. You're more confident. You feel more like yourself. It's really amazing how it can change the way you move through your day. Similarly, your home can be that favorite pair of jeans, badass dress, or fitted tux. We created Biographical Design as a way to celebrate our amazing clients. After practicing this way of designing for over a decade we learned some valuable lessons. We are highly influenced by the design of our homes. Trends always go out of style. Personal style is a powerful part of wellness.  Let's dive into each of these.

1. Home Design Affects You

Most physiologists agree that design affects the way you feel. You've certainly felt this. You behave differently when you walk into a bar, ballpark, or library. Ancient practices like Feng Shui took this seriously. This is why we've dedicated our practice to creating spaces that are not just beautiful but also intentionally designed to enhance the way we live, the way families interact, and the way we strive for our goals. We design spaces where we can live our best lives.

2. Trends Always Pass
So many people ask us "what’s trending?" However, early on we found that trends yielded spaces that simply went out of style in due time. Nothing is as lasting as personal style that has been developed over time. This is timeless. I advise all my clients to invest in things that matter to them. Furnish your home with things that light you up. Start collecting art. Pick things up on your travels. Display heirlooms. Surround yourself with things you love.

3. Wellness
At Errez Design we're big on wellness in the holistic sense of the word. We love to see our clients developing into their best self as they live in their redesigned homes. We give them the space to live the life that they want. For some it's building stronger relationships. For others it's cooking more or entertaining more. Whatever it is for you having the setting for these activities to play out will propel you to live it out.
Consequently, biographical design, is also contributing to the wellness of the planet by offering a long lasting timeless design that you'll enjoy for years to come.
